Then they got involved, lived an intense learning curve, and discovered just how much homework the needed to do. Now there they are, serving on Boards, committees, and commissions, and all manner of public bodies, working for you. And their work is most likely to yield best results when you are informed, pro-active, and engaged in positive public discourse. By using this course framework as a tool, you will prepare yourself to become involved in doing the public’s business. Perhaps you’ll end up serving on a Board, Committee, or Commission yourself.
